PEI-Genesis Expands Its Value-Add Production Line in Asia

PEI Now Value-Adds ITT Cannon D-Subminiature Connectors in Zhuhai, China

ZHUHAI, China, April 21, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- PEI-Genesis, a global leader in the design and assembly of custom engineered interconnect solutions, announced it is now certified to value-add ITT Cannon's D-Subminiature Series from its Zhuhai, China facility. This milestone will allow PEI to rapidly assemble within 48 hours and ship thousands of ITT Cannon D-Sub connectors, including cable-to-cable, PCB, and Combo-Ds - mix power and signal layouts, for the growing Asia-Pacific market. 

Originally invented by ITT Cannon in the 1950s, D-Subminiature connectors remain one of the market's most widely used ultra-reliable I/O interconnect solutions. ITT Cannon's D-Subminiature Series offers a variety of plating and termini options including signal, high power, coaxial, PC tail, machined, and stamped and formed contacts for the aerospace, rail, medical, and industrial markets.

From custom configurations to streamlined supply chain with a single source for a variety of connectors, PEI's expansion of the ITT Cannon component inventory and value-add lines gives customers the flexibility to build their own interconnects, bringing more options to the market at a rapid pace. Besides D-Sub connectors, the PEI-Genesis Zhuhai plant can assemble ITT Cannon's CA-Bayonet, KPT/KPSE, E&R 5015, and VEAM FRCIR circular connector series.
