KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, March 31, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 20, the China-Malaysia Science and Technology Innovation Summit and Pitching Crush Grand Finale was held simultaneously in Kuala Lumpur and Shenzhen. During the event, TusStar signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI) and the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), respectively.

YB Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), said Malaysia's innovation engine has created an ideal environment for investors to join the future technology ecosystem. As part of this effort, MRANTI will assist 75 Chinese technology companies designated by the event organizer, TusStar Malaysia, in starting or expanding their business in Malaysia. 10 of these companies will create technology and innovation-related jobs for Chinese workers, and five high-tech companies will transfer technology to suitable Malaysian companies. TusStar will also provide soft-landing assistance, including logistics staff, venues, and business networks, to at least 15 Malaysian companies developing locally in China.

In addition, H.E Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Malaysia, stated that in the post-COVID-19 era, China will continue to strengthen research and development and high-tech cooperation with Malaysia to improve the living standards of both countries. To achieve this goal, China will comprehensively improve its scientific and technological innovation system by strengthening the opening-up of science and technology. The Chinese government is committed to expand foreign exchanges and create friendly cooperative environment, especially with important countries like Malaysia in the Belt and Road initiative.

Based on the two cooperation, TusStar will assist Chinese and Malaysian enterprises with market expansion, technological achievements transformation, talent development, and other aspects to promote sustainable economic and social development of both countries. Additionally, the event included various activities such as panel discussion, theme sharing, and pitching crush. Notable guests including Sun Nan, a Party Group of Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology, Datuk Fadzli Abdul Wahit, Senior Vice President, Digital Industry Development of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Xu Yunqi, Deputy General Manager of Shenzhen Angel FOF Management Co, LTD., and Tan Chin Chun, Solutions Architect of Malaysia of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, who shared the theme of "innovation, cooperation, win-win". The discussion of the panel discussion centered around the application of UAV technology and the digital transformation technologies of Industry 4.0 in China-Malaysia Science and technology innovation. Finally, 10 start-ups from different technology sectors competed in the finals of the TusStar Southeast Asia, Pitching Crush, for potential venture capital investment opportunities and support in both countries.
